Name: Dorothea Arnault
Canon: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Canon Point: Post-game, Azure Moon route.
Age: 24
Background: Here's a link to Dorothea's wiki!
Survivability:
(+) Dorothea is scrappy. On top of having just fought a war for five years, she grew up as an homeless orphan for a significant part of her youth until she was scouted for the opera company. Her time as a soldier has given her training and power; she can hold her own in a fight. She was a beast on the battlefield, and she's shown to be fiercely protective of the people she loves. Her childhood, though, provides her with intuition and guts. She knows what has to be done to survive, and whatever it is, she'll do it. Although she is kind, and does have some sense of morals, her sense of self-preservation beats all of that out. No point in being nice if it gets you killed, after all. No matter what sort of horrible things she might face in this horror mall she's found herself in, she'll keep herself and any friends she makes alive.
(+) Dorothea is charming. Dorothea is emotionally intelligent. She knows that people see her as charming and lovely, and she's not above using that fact to her advantage. She's used these traits to her benefit for all of her life, whether to get some money from a kindly passerby or to lock down a potential husband to secure her future. Here, in Collected, Dorothea can use her charm to make allies, and to bring people together. In a place like this, she'll need people to rely on, so she'll depend on her friendly nature to bring people to her. With her innate kindness - and with her tendency to take care of people she thinks need protecting - she'll definitely be seen as a protective figure to those at the mall who may have less raw power in a fight. She's also very honest about how she's feeling, and good at expressing her emotions. For people who are having trouble processing what's going on, she'll be a dependable shoulder to lean on.
(-) Dorothea is tired. She just got finishing fighting a war for five years - a war against most of her close friends, that ended in a lot of death on their parts. And now that the war is over, she's right back where she was before, like nothing has changed, except it has. Dorothea carries a lot of trauma with her these days, and she doesn't have a lot of direction. Her life has very little meaning, and she's too tired to find more. When it comes to Collected, this will make her very apathetic about getting out of the situation that they're in. While she's happy to take care of people and make sure they're safe, she won't be very focused on finding a way to get home. Her mindset can be summed up easily: there's nothing left for her back in Enbarr, so she might as well stay here, in the creepy horror mall. (Plus, if there are any horror elements along the lines of possession or turning her friends against her, she'll be absolutely no use with that.)
(-) Dorothea is insecure. While she knows that she makes a good first impression on people, she's convinced it's because of her youth and looks more than anything else - and those things are fleeting. She has a real fear of growing less attractive as she gets older, and losing everything she has because of it. This also means she has a very low opinion of herself - while she figures she's physically good-looking, she doesn't think she has a lot of deeper traits that would endear her to other people. This means that she'll be very susceptible to anyone - or anything - that tells her she's worthless or bad. It's what she believes deep down, and it's extremely difficult to let go of that belief. Even when she makes friends, she'll constantly worry that they won't stay with her - and that stress is a lot to carry around on top of everything else that will be happening around her. Basically, though she's physically and emotionally strong, she's psychologically weak - and anything that preys on her insecurities will make it ten times harder for her to use her strengths to help people.
Powers:
Magic. Dorothea has a great talent in Reason. She's one of the best mages in her canon, with access to many powerful spells. Her specific proficiency is in thunder-based long-ranged magic - most of her spells hit hard and from far away, since she doesn't have good defense stats to match her offense. While her attacks are usually deadly back home, they'll have less of an effect here at collected, leaving people (or things) singed instead of dead. Just think of Dorothea as your very own high power taser!
Healing. Dorothea has an innate ability to heal allies that are physically close to her as they fight. To nerf this power for the purposes of the setting, rather than healing them, this power will simply make them feel stronger and more able to push themselves or weather through blows - and it'll make her feel weaker when that power needs to be drawn upon.
Inventory:
1. A set of underclothes - for quick costume changes, of course.
2. A little velvet toiletries bag with a comb, perfume, and some makeup.
3. A Levin sword - a sword infused with thunder magic.
4. A cap that she used to wear when she was younger.
